Izura Shoot

We had a fun an productive sunday last week at the Izura Clothing line shoot. My first time being shot and shooting with studio equipments and in the setting. We had plenty of laughs and got in a couple of shots of myself. Although it ended up with me looking just like Will.I.Am or so I'm told... what do you think?...

Rain Light Night

The Princess and the Frog

I have grown up with Disney movies since forever. And I ain't ashamed to admit how much I love them, I mean they've gotten me through a lot of hard times and boring times. So I caught wind of the latest addition to the Disney Family, "The Princess and the Frog" and I cant wait, I mean just take a look at it. Its New Orleans styled characters and setting get me every time I watch it. And I'm happy that it's...uh, I don't want to say black focused...but to hell with it! The characters are black and they got soul haha.

The Princess and the Frog is an upcoming 2009 American animated family feature film produced by Walt Disney Animation Studios, which is loosely based on E.D. Baker's novel The Frog Princess and the Grimm brothers' The Frog Prince. It will be the 49th animated feature in the Walt Disney Animated Classics and the first theatrically released 2D animated movie by Disney since 2004's Home on the Range. It is being directed by John Musker and Ron Clements, directors of The Great Mouse Detective, The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, and Treasure Planet, with songs and score composed by Randy Newman and with the voices of Anika Noni Rose (as Princess Tiana), Oprah Winfrey, Keith David, Jim Cummings, John Goodman, Jenifer Lewis, Bruno Campos, Michael-Leon Wooley, Peter Bartlett and Terrence Howard.

The Vampire Diaries: Season 1 Episode 10

"The Turning Point"

Ok i'm kind of into this show...a lot, I have good reason though, aside from the interesting plot the main character Elena Gilbert played by Nina Dobrev went to my junior high school! So I got to support. Man, this episode was a pretty filled one. Always keeping me wanting more. Stephan and Damon get a very unexpected visit from someone thought dead. Elena professes her love for Stephan and takes their relationship higher but soon discovers why he was so into her to begin with. Damon discovers that there is another way to bring Kathrine back from the dead but soon loses his only connection to it. And the episode ends with Elena running someone over with her car only to see them get up, pop there bones back together and walk towards her. Freaky stuff! Who's this new monster and is it the end of Elena?

A Moment

I took this photo last week. It's real special to me because where this is, was where I grew up. So I was walking around just taking in certain spots and letting the memories flood back. 12 years is a long time. Happy times, devastating times. 4101/ <-- only a few people will understand that and this picture.

“I just want to be successful”

Sorry I haven't blogged in awhile. Procrastination is something that will mess up every facet of your life...but moving on I read an interesting post from the blog
The 26th Letter dealing with success that will put stuff into perspective...

That’s the words that are pushing through my headphones right now as I write. It makes you think hard though about what is going on in the world. We are hearing all this talk about recession this, job cuts that, pay decrease, and all that jazz. Yet most times you can go to any club in Toronto, see those “ballers” who think they have it up with OSAP money buying bottles to impress the ladies only to find out that they gotta work their ass off in whatever day job they do to make that money back. Please do not believe that I hate on those guys because life is how you can live it in any way shape or form. What I am wondering to ask is from you Toronto “Are you living as successful as you want to be?” Do you have that job you always wanted? Are you driving that car that you needed to get? Are you living in that house where you wanted to do for? It’s a lot to go with those these days. Sometimes you can have one or none at all. If you have all three what advice could you give to someone who has none? It seems most to all of us are afraid of loosing what we have. If we quit the job we are at will there be another one waiting in the wings, or if we loose our job what would we do. The economy puts on sales slashing prices in half and sometimes even more so they can get us to spend, but where is this money coming from? So I want to ask you Toronto people. And people all over the world…. “Are you living as successful as you want to be?” If success has not come your way why not? What is holding you back from it all?

The floor is yours Toronto

[The Under Achiever Blues]

So they say the choices that you make today will affect your life in the future...how true that statement is... I made the choice to step out of the realm of ordinary into the life of extraordinary, to stop dealing with ordinary people and an ordinary life and to become something more...But I can't fully succeed at that until the mistakes I've made in the past catch up with me. I'm sure you're wondering what I mean...

Last night I went to my High School Commencement, proud of my accomplishments I proudly made my way to the stage to receive my diploma. I sat down staring at this envelope thinking, this is it. Soon after, they began to announce special recognitions for those students who got 80% and over and 90% and over. They started calling students for various scholarships and awards for over achieving and becoming more than they were. And soon my "regular diploma" felt like utter crap. I didn't receive any awards, never got and special recognitions for outstanding works, that's because I never tried for them. I was never one to be a school person and try to be more than I could be, I never cared for any of that. I watched all these proud students receiving awards and being hailed by parents, teachers and the government representative of Canada and thought to myself, "I should have striven for excellence, I could have been greater than any of these guys". But alas I made the choice to not care and hope that I "just pass" and now I sit here typing these words and looking at what is now I feel to be a tissue paper called a diploma.

Don't get me wrong I am damn proud of my tissue paper, I worked hard for it, and it will proudly hang on my mothers wall. LOL

I guess all I'm saying is be better in all that you do. It's great to live in the now but be aware of the repercussions for the future. For not working harder in high school, my punishment was to sit through an hour and a half of students receiving awards for the hard work they did and me getting smaller and smaller in my chair wondering to myself, damn maybe if I volunteered at that half way house I could be getting an award right about now. Then again it's never to late...
